Digital Skills Trainer
Deliver weekly introductory workshops on computer usage, smartphones, email setup, and safely browsing online services.
Employment Support Mentor
Work one-to-one or in small groups helping participants write high-quality CVs, search for jobs online, and prepare for interviews.
Online Safety Trainer
Teach scam awareness, phishing identification, safe web routines, password protocols, and parental online safety strategies.
Bilingual / Language Mentor
Support participants with limited English during computing sessions and help translate essential learning guides.
What Our Volunteers Receive
FBM Empower Foundation is dedicated to ensuring a supportive, structured environment for all team members.
- A proper structural induction including detailed safeguarding training and a named supervisor.
- Full access to official training materials, slides, and educational tools.
- A formal reference letter after three months of active volunteering to support your career.
- An enhanced DBS check, fully funded by us, where your role requires working closely with vulnerable adults.
- Reimbursement of pre-agreed out-of-pocket expenses (such as local travel to training venues).
- After six months of active volunteering, you'll get the chance to join our partner agencies, who are ready to offer you a real, hands-on project — a paid opportunity to put your skills to work.
